Back in September we threw our daughter's first birthday party! Once I decided on a "sweet one" theme I ran with it. I knew I wanted to have her party at home so that she could be comfortable and be able to enjoy all of her gifts right away. In this post I will be sharing all things "Sweet"!
At the end of this post you'll find links to the party decor!
Decorating & Food
I wanted to showcase her monthly photos so on our mantle I used a string with pompoms and pink clothes pins to hang the photos. For the tables, I used small bouquets from the grocery store to brighten up the space & for the silverware I went with a more "elevated" plastic silverware and a pastel napkin.

I enjoy baking so I was able to make her cake myself, I used fun sprinkles that I found on Amazon as well as this personalized cake topper from Etsy (one of my favorite parts!)
I was very thankful to find so many decorations that went together perfectly! I ordered personalized sugar cookies from a local baker and I did the cupcakes as well as the cake. For balloons, we got a helium tank and thank goodness had help, but I will opt out of doing that for our next party. The balloons took a long time to put together and the helium did not last long, lesson learned!

We did our own finger foods for the party including:
Ham & Swiss Sliders
Veggie Tray
Chickpea Salad
Fruits & Dip
Jalapeno Corn Dip
My favorite part of the spread was the table runner that I found from a little shop called "Ellie and Piper"!
I found my daughters personalized outfit on Etsy and it could not have been more perfect for her day of play, eating, and opening presents!
In all, I loved creating a party with this theme but I'm even more thankful for the friends and family that took the time out of their weekend to celebrate our best girl turning ONE.
I have linked all of the party goodies that I was able to below:
